Words are Entry Points – Good or Bad

While praying in the Spirit, I sensed this phrase over and over in my spirit: words are entry points! Good or Bad!

*Proverbs 18:20-21 (KJV) A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. 21Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

*Proverbs 18:20-21 (AMPC) A man's [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil]. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]. [Matt. 12:37.]

*Matthew 17:20 (KJV) And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, YE SHALL SAY unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

*James 3:8-10 (KJV) But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

#1 Anyone can curse - You don’t need to get your PHD or Master's Degree. All people from youth learn how to curse someone, usually starting with themselves. We all use our tongues in ungodly ways to curse ourselves or other people. Reread James 3:9, even Christians can curse each other!
We all have heard or said some of these word curses:

“You will never be successful.”

“You were born to suffer.”

“You won’t be able to have children.”

“You are not as good as ….”

“I might as well die.”

“You are better off dead.”

#2 Even unrevealed curses have an effect
Just as prayers, spoken or unspoken over the people we judge, are effective. Curses form in our hearts, not in our mouths.

*Matthew 15:18–19 (KJV) But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. [19] For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:.

Ecclesiastes 10:20 (AKJV)  Curse not the king, no not in your thought; and curse not the rich in your bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which has wings shall tell the matter.

#3 We can suffer from unintended curses

God’s Word results in a harvest of “good fruit” if we hold on fast to it in our hearts. In the same way, we can turn the words we hear from people we trust into curses that bear “bad fruit”.

For example, a man who trusts a doctor that says he will never recover from his medical condition is unlikely to be able to receive God’s miraculous healing, no matter how many times he prays. The doctor’s words (based on a human being’s limited knowledge and not on God) has become an unintended curse. The man must take down such a stronghold through repentance and renunciation, before his relationship with God can be restored.

*Luke 8:15 (AMPC) But as for that [seed] in the good soil, these are [the people] who, hearing the Word, hold it fast in a just ( noble, virtuous) and worthy heart, and steadily bring forth fruit with patience
