CD 1513 Your Opinions will Hinder Your Faith
Opinion is a judgment based on past experiences - (a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge).
Faith is a belief that comes from continually hearing the Word of God! God's Word is total truth and is eternal without change!

A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

A [self-confident] fool has no delight in understanding but only in revealing HIS PERSONAL OPINIONS and himself.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).

Paul warned us:
